Jesus makes us humble. Religion gives us hell. Jesus gives us heaven. Religion is a god who is at a distance. Jesus is the God who came near. Religion is about our hopes, our efforts. Jesus says; look at me and find all the security you need. Religion is about Jesus paying some. Jesus says; I’ve paid it all.
